What a reception the Herb Society of South Jersey gave me at the Cape May County Library! The overflow crowd enthusiastically listened to my talk of the health benefits of Punjabi spices and herbs and gobbled the samosas, mint chutney, masala cha and sevian. I replaced the mustard seeds, fennel seed and cilantro in the samosa recipe from my book with some fresh fenugreek leaves (replacing cilantro) and dried (replacing mustard and fennel) because this was an herb unfamiliar to them. Of course, you may do the same. They were delicious! My secret of an easy pastry is in the book, so they are much easier and faster than any samosa recipe anywhere.
